College student shot by police

Derek Copp was shot by police when they raided his apartment. He is currently in serious condition at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital.

This is the cost of Prohibition. I think it's safe to say that even those folks that don't agree with smoking marijuana don't think that people that do should be shot. If you do think that people that smoke marijuana should be shot, then I'm sorry. Derek Copp did not deserve to be shot, he harmed no one. He was "a left-wing hippie peace-keeping liberal." He was minding his own business in his apartment.

It is clear to see that Prohibition is doing more harm to our country than drugs will ever do. It is time to put an end to the cycle of greed that keeps putting millions of people in prison, ruining their lives while putting money in the pockets of prison wardens. Former President George W. Bush privatized the prison industry. Our tax dollars are being put to work to perpetuate an inherently racist war on the poor and middle class; a war that puts money in the pockets of law enforcement and prison officials. Just to let you know, the United States imprisons more people than any other country in the world. More than Russia, more than Saubia Arabia, more than even China. It's time to end the farce of Prohibition and take back our government!
